Area Real Estate For Sale
If You haven't heard, the Internet is The Future of Selling Real Estate! The real estate audience is no longer reading newspapers and magazines, having shifted its attention to the Internet, which is now the primary tool for real estate research. The National Association of Realtors reported that 90% of Buyers used the Internet in 2009 compared to less than half which used print media. Every year less people are reading newspapers, especially the younger generations. In fact in Every age group, newspaper readership is way down and continues to decline! In the 30 to 45 age group, less than 35% read a newspaper. Even in the 45 to 55 age group, only 45% of people read a newspaper. When comparing 2008 to 2009 newspaper circulation was down for all of the top 15 major newspapers including the Minneapolis Star Tribune (-5.5%). Lets face it! When you can go online, view thousands of properties with large multicolor photos, get a significant amount of information on a property, search properties by location and price, and compare listings with each other; Who wants to look at an ad with one small photo in black and white with 3 lines of information about the property??? Not me! Also, Newspapers come and go quickly. One day they are at your door and the next day they are in the garbage can or a recycling bin never to be seen again! On the Internet and at Lakehomes.com Realty our Websites are available to the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and they are now more visible to potential buyers than ever!
Unfortunately the good old days of the 1990's where waterfront real estate was affordable to the masses are gone. It is no secret that most of the buyers with money come from metropolitan areas such as the Twin Cities, Chicago, or out of the state. In fact, about 9 out of 10 future waterfront buyers do not currently reside in Northern Minnesota! This makes it very difficult to sell higher priced real estate in Northeastern Minnesota. So, I would like to ask you, how many of these potential buyers from outside your local area are actually going to get a local newspaper? How many of these buyers look at realty ads in the Manneys Shopper, or in your local newspaper, or in the local tv guide? How many actually get a local real estate guide? The answer is probably none of them! Now, if these out of area buyers don't know much about your community or lake they probably won't find it in your hometown newspaper. Wouldn't you agree? They will most likely go online to find that information and I'm telling you there is a great chance they will find our website first! Now, you may think that your property will be seen by lots of buyers online if you sell with a real estate company that does have a nice website on the Internet? I would have to honestly disagree. This is not the case because websites are becoming like cars and just about everybody has one.
Even with most real estate companies having their own website these days, most of their websites are Very Difficult for Buyers to find because they have poor Search Engine Rankings. To put it in Truthful terms, The Majority of Real Estate Company Websites are Very Ineffective for Promoting Your Property Online. This is not good considering how important the internet is for marketing your property! Sure most companies have websites online that can be accessed, but most of them are like a large billboard sign down a dead end road! They are not found by buyers in major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL. What does this mean if your property is placed on their website? Potential Buyers are not going to see their website, therefore there is a strong chance they are not going to see your property for sale like they should! With the internet becoming a more influential tool for buyers every day, you are not doing yourself a favor by selling with companies who have very little traffic to their website! This defeats the whole purpose of online property promotion. By listing your property with us, your property will easily be found by thousands of potential buyers everyday! firstname.lastname@example.org
At Lakehomes.com Realty You better believe your property will be seen on our Websites. We were one of the first real estate companies on the Internet. We have been online since 1996 and have spent endless amounts of time and money making sure that we are 2nd to none when it comes to promoting your waterfront/recreational property online! Through a creative mix of marketing, the Lakehomes.com name, and our Advanced Search Engine Placement, our sites are found easily by thousands of waterfront buyers. Some of them might just be the ones who are in the market for a lake place like yours, and our goal is to make sure that those are the ones who come out to see it.
To the right you can see that Google is the most used and most important search engine. Our websites show up near the top of all major search engines for important key words that buyers use when searching for a waterfront property. Our websites are highly optimized for all search engines but show up best in Google. It only makes sense because Google's populartity continues to grow. The majority of people doing online searches are typing keywords in the Google Search Box. (toward the middle of the page) They are not typing in website addresses/info at the very top of the browser. Try this in the Google Search Box: type in minnesota waterfront property. Note that this is a highly used search term and we show up as the first website in the search out of over 1,100,000 other results! Another highly searched term buyers use in Google is northern minnesota real estate where our website is ranked number 2 out of 70+ million other pages. Our Websites also show up near the top for hundreds of other popular search terms that waterfront buyers are using on a daily basis. People doing searches are much more likely to click on the first few websites they see after they type in a search term. This means that we will get a lot more visits from buyers to our website than someone at the bottom of the page or on the 2nd page of the search results! This means more exposure for your property! Another Really Important Fact is that 84% of all people doing searches on the web never get past the second page of search results. This goes to show you that if your website is not located on the first or second page for key words, your website has very little chance of being seen. Most of our websites/pages show up on the first page of the search results even though there are millions of other websites and search results competing for these same key terms. Even when buyers type in waterfront real estate, we have 2 websites which rank in the Top 3 out of over 9,000,000 related websites! Keep in mind that hundreds of potential buyers use the search term "Waterfront Real Estate" everday. This is Extremely Important for getting visitors from metropolitan areas to our website to view your property for sale. As tech savy individuals we continually try to make sure that our web pages are as close to the top as possible because the search engine spiders change their guidlines on how they rank websites every now and then. Right now there are about 260,000,000 people who use the internet on a daily basis in North America. You can bet that some of them are looking for a Waterfront/Recreational property. That means that there is a good chance that they are looking at one of our websites and at your listing!
Now comes the fun part, I'm going to pick on myself a little bit. I have my own personal website IronRangeRealEstate.com and I'd consider myself to be pretty skilled with web design and marketing, but I'm lucky if I'm getting between 20 and 30 visitors per day to my website. I'm also willing to bet that just about Every Real Estate Company in Northeastern Minnesota is getting about the same amount of visitors per day as I'm getting to my website. And if they are getting more it isn't much (maybe 50 at most)! Like I said earlier. This is not very good for promoting your property, especially considering how much buyers are utilizing the internet. I do believe that on good days the Lakehomes.com Website gets more visitors per day than all other Real Estate Companies in Northeastern Minnesota Combined and The Majority of these Visitors are all Potential Buyers who may be looking for a property just like yours!
